INSPIRATION
It's not hard to see the inspiration behind this print. Knaresborough is a beautiful town on the banks of the River Nidd in North Yorkshire. This print did take Georgina a long time, Georgina wanted to do justice to the variety of buildings and the lush foliage, so took her time. Instead of working on this solidly, Georgina did odd bits in between other work, sometimes in front of the telly, sometimes with biscuits but always with tea...Yorkshire Tea, naturally. Georgina was really pleased with this print, we hope you enjoy it too.

PROCESS
Georgina's prints start off as sketches with pencil and paper, then using various photographs as references the scene is created digitally. The designs are drawings not tracing, so it can take quite a while. The aim is to create a fresh and modern take on the vintage travel posters of the early/mid 20th century. Georgina prints on an Epson printer using Epson Archival paper, using Epson DURABrite Ultra Pigment Ink giving the prints a crisp and vibrant finish. Using high quality inks mean they are more resistant to fading, however be careful hanging your print in direct sunlight.
