Haworth Halloween

It's set to be a sc-aaaa-rrryyyy time here in Haworth over the coming weeks!

Only joking. Like most things in Haworth, Halloween here is a very family fun orientated event.

We arrived at the shop last week to see striking black and orange bunting criss-crossing the street, spooky ghosts adorning the trees and toothy pumpkins grinning from the street banners.

Haworth itself hosts a Halloween, spookfest of a weekend on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th October 2018.

Make a note of the following in your calendar and be sure to join us:

Saturday 27th October 2018

Dragon Day

Ever think you'd see a giant dragon parading up the cobbles flanked by families in Halloween fancy dress? Well now's you chance! Follow the mystical dragon up the street to the sound of drum beat.

Sunday 28th October 2018

Parade of Ghouls

A second parade up the street to sound of drum beat, the Parade of Ghouls is equally as scary and as much fun as the day before!

Everyone is welcome, fancy dress is encouraged and both parades start at the bottom of the street at 2pm.

Keighley Worth Valley Railway

The railway is also getting in on the action, by hosting a Halloween train on Sunday 28th October. They urge you to 'come aboard if you dare' and are offering lots of fun spooky activities for no more than a standard fare (even better, kids under 5 go free). The trains run from 11:00 to 16:55 and travel between Keighley and Oxenhope, stopping off at other stations along the way. Check out the KWVR website for more details.

Guided Ghost Walks

If that all sounds a little bit tame and you really fancy have the be-jeebers scared out of you, why not book onto a guided ghost walk and take a tour of the graveyard by darkness? If that sounds like your cup of tea, take a look at the Haworth Ghost Tours website.
